Trees can no more will themselves to bear good fruit than we as humans can will ourselves to be holy. Pastor Marq uses this analogy as a fitting end to his series on bearing spiritual fruit. We’ll finish up Galatians Chapter 5 with an exclamation point that proclaims “God is our gardener”, and without Him tending the seed He has planted in our hearts, we cannot grow into the image of Christ, no matter how many Holy things we try to do.
